Il Museo Studio del Tessuto/MuST, partendo dalle proprie collezioni offre ai suoi visitatori dei percorsi volti a conoscere la storia del tessuto e ad approfondirne alcuni aspetti quali la tecnica, l’iconografia e il rapporto con la storia del costume, della politica e dell'economia. Il metodo usato combina la visione diretta dei reperti con proiezioni di immagini per illustrare l'utilizzo dei tessuti. Contatti
Servizi didattici
Il MuST propone percorsi didattici basati sulle proprie collezioni. Oltre ai percorsi sotto elencati, si organizzano a richiesta visite guidate su tematiche concordate con l'utenza. Sempre su richiesta potrà essere distribuito del materiale didattico.
Si organizzano inoltre laboratori estivi per gruppi di bambini (minimo 8, massimo 15).

Le collezioni del MuST
Percorso guidato alla scoperta e alla conoscenza di tutte le collezioni del MuST/Museo Studio del Tessuto. Partendo dai tessuti Copti del IV secolo dopo Cristo, si arriverà fino alla metà del XX secolo.
Gli scialli Cachemire
Il MuST/Museo Studio del Tessuto conserva una delle più ricche collezioni di scialli Cachemire d’Europa. Un percorso volto ad presentare la produzione di questi oggetti e l'evolversi del loro utilizzo nella storia della moda, attraverso rari esemplari di scialli indiani del tardo Settecento e una selezione di reperti ottocenteschi sia indiani sia europei.
I tessuti d’arredo
E’ solo a partire dalla metà del Cinquecento che la produzione del tessile per arredo si differenzia da quella per abbigliamento. Vengono proposti ai visitatori velluti, damasci e lampassi che hanno caratterizzato le dimore signorili e regali europee tra il XVI e gli inizi del XX secolo.

Il filo del tempo
La storia e le grandi scoperte geografiche lette attraverso i tessuti. Antico Egitto e tessuti Copti. Marco Polo e tessuti cinesi. Cristoforo Colombo e i tessuti precolombiani. La seta, i velluti, Venezia e il Mediterraneo. I broccati, Lione e l’Atlantico. Alla fine dell’incontro verrà consegnata all’insegnante una scheda didattica.
Lo zoo di pezza
Il leone re della foresta, ma anche feroce predatore; il gallo di buon auspicio che annuncia il giorno, ma anche litigioso; il pavone simbolo di immortalità, ma anche di superbia. Dalle cassettiere del museo in cui sono conservati i tessuti emergeranno leoni feroci e rampanti, pesci volanti e pavoni dalla lunga coda. Alla fine dell’incontro verrà consegnata all’insegnante una scheda didattica.
Tempo di seta
Ogni tempo ha il proprio abito così come ogni abito ha il proprio tempo. Un percorso sulla moda vista attraverso i tessuti che diventano anche un nuovo strumento di riflessione sull'oggi. Durante il percorso i ragazzi avranno modo di vedere anche alcune vesti provenienti da altre parti del mondo. Alla fine dell’incontro verrà consegnata all’insegnante una scheda didattica.
I colori del passato
Rosso sangue, blu cielo, verde prato, giallo limone, nero carbone ed ancora molluschi, piccoli insetti, fiori, piante e limature di spade. Un breve viaggio nel passato alla scoperta del significato dei colori e dei segreti delle sostanze tintorie con cui venivano tinti i tessuti antichi. Alla fine dell’incontro verrà consegnata all’insegnante una scheda didattica.

Starting from its collections, the Museo Studio del Tessuto/MuST offers to its visitors tours aimed at knowing the history of fabrics and investigating some aspects such as technique, iconography and relationship with the history of costume, politics and economy. The used method combines the direct visit to the collection with the projection of pictures to explain the use of fabrics.

The MuST offers educational tours based on its collections. Besides the tours listed below, we organize upon request guided tours about subjects agreed upon with the users. Again upon request, educational materials can be issued.
We organize also summer workshops for groups of children (minimum 8, maximum 15).

Guided tour to discover and know all the MuST/Museo Studio del Tessuto collections. Starting from the 4th century AD Coptic fabrics to the mid-20th century.
Cashmere shawls
the MuST/Museo Studio del Tessuto hosts one of the richest collections of Cashmere shawls in Europe. This tour is aimed at presenting the production of these objects and the evolution of their use in the history of fashion through precious examples of Indian shawls of the late 18th century and a selection of 19th century items from India and Europe.
Home furnishing fabrics
The production of home furnishing fabrics has differentiated from clothing production only from the mid-16th century. This tour proposes visitors the velvets, damasks and lampasses that characterized aristocrat and royal European residences between the 16th and the early 20th century.

The time thread
History and the great geographical discoveries through fabrics. Ancient Egypt and Coptic fabrics. Marco Polo and Chinese fabrics. Christopher Columbus and pre-Columbian fabrics. Silk, velvets, Venice and the Mediterranean Sea. Brocades, Lyons and the Atlantic Ocean. At the end of the tour, the teacher will be given educational materials.
The rag zoo
The lion as the king of the jungle, but also as a fierce predator; the auspicious cock heralds the day, but is also quarrelsome; the peacock as symbol of immortality, but also of pride. The museum chests of drawers preserving the fabrics will reveal fierce and rampant lions, flying fish and peacocks with long tails. At the end of the tour, the teacher will be given educational materials.
Silk time
Each period has its clothes as each cloth has its period. A tour of fashion through fabrics that become also a new tool of reflection on today. During the tour, the children will have the opportunity to look at some dresses from other parts of the world. At the end of the tour, the teacher will be given educational materials.
The colours of the past
Blood red, sky blue, grass green, lemon yellow, coal black and shellfish, small insects, flowers, plants and sword filings. A short tour in the past to discover the meaning of colours and the secrets of tinctorial substances used to dye ancient fabrics. At the end of the tour, the teacher will be given educational materials.

Opening hours
The Museo Studio del Tessuto is open to the public only by appointment, from Monday to Friday, from 10am to 1 pm and from 2pm to 5.30pm.
